WEDNESDAY 7 JUNE
CELEBRATING AN ICON – THE PORSCHE RS
This June the London Concours will pay homage to one of the most enduring and iconic automotive performance lines of all time: the Porsche 911 RS, in the year of its 50th anniversary. RS badged 911s have been almost untouchable since it first appeared on the 2.7 RS of 1972, consistent in their greatness for the subsequent half century. Each new RS model has been lauded for its unique ability to blend raw motorsport thrills with every-day useability.
For one day only, we will celebrate Porsche’s wonderfully diverse 911 RS back catalogue as we gather 50 cars in the private sanctuary of the Honourable Artillery Company, nestled in the heart of the City of London. Visitors will be able to savour a visual history of Porsche performance, charting the evolution of a supercar benchmark: from the seminal 2.7 RS to the raw, visceral 993 RS Clubsport of the ‘90s, all the way up the turbocharged intensity of 991 GT2 RS. A truly special display, one fans of Stuttgart’s finest won’t want to miss.
