Halcyon, Partner to London Concours, Unveils The Great Eight Series, Remastering the Rolls-Royce Corniche with the Legendary 6.75-Litre V8
Halcyon, proud partner to London Concours, Concours of Elegance, and the Royal
Bahrain Concours, has announced its most significant new offering to date: The
Great Eight Series, a combustion-powered remastering of the Rolls-Royce Corniche
built around one of the greatest engines in automotive history.
The Surrey-based specialist, known for its meticulous remastering of classic
Rolls-Royces and Bentleys, has until now focused on electric interpretations of the
Corniche and Silver Shadow. The Great Eight Series marks a new chapter: a
distinctly mechanical grand touring experience powered by Halcyon’s remastered
6.75-litre L-Series V8.

First introduced in 1959, the Crewe-built V8 powered Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor
cars for more than six decades, becoming one of the longest-lived production
engines in automotive history. Halcyon has taken this foundation and elevated it with
improved torque and power delivery, as well as sharpened responsiveness. Yet, the
effortless composure that defined the original is preserved entirely.
The Great Eight Series is unveiled through the Rose and Scroll design study – a
remastered Rolls-Royce Corniche Fixed Head Coupé finished in Arboretum Green
over Tan. Inspired by the automotive halcyon days of the 1960s and 70s, the car
features traditional rose and scroll engraving on its fascia, accented by damascene
kingfisher inlays that reference the mythical bird at the heart of Halcyon’s identity.

Limited to just 60 one-of-one commissions, each example is created in close
collaboration with its owner, developing a singular expression of automotive art
shaped by individual taste and intention.
Each commission undergoes a 5,000-hour build process in Surrey, beginning with a
bare-metal restoration. Adaptive suspension and an upgraded braking system bring
greater composure to modern roads, while Touring, Drive and Spirited drive modes
allow the car’s character to be tailored to the occasion.
Discreet modern technologies, including wireless Apple CarPlay and climate control,
are integrated without compromising the warmth and tactility of the cabin.
