Thorough Events Announces New ‘Restoration Showcase’ at its UK shows

Thorough Events, organisers of the London Concours and Concours of Elegance, is launching a brand new feature for 2025: the Restoration Showcase in partnership with Classic & Sports Car magazine.

Bringing together master craftsmen and their stunning restorations, the ‘Restoration Showcase’ at each event will offer visitors an unprecedented insight into the painstaking work involved in bringing automotive treasures back to their former glory. Each participating car will be driven onto the stage, where the restorer will be interviewed by Mick Walsh, International Editor of Classic & Sports Car magazine, sharing the fascinating stories behind these automotive resurrections. Often, it’s these backstories that guide the restoration process, preserving important dents, materials or colours that may have a particularl significance.

Set to take place on 3-5 June at the Honourable Artillery Company, this new addition to the London Concours celebrates the exceptional craftsmanship, dedication, and skill behind the world’s most meticulously restored classic cars. An expert panel of judges will assess each restoration for its authenticity, attention to detail and execution awarding an overall winner during the show.

The winner of the showcase at the London Concours will then receive an exclusive invitation to display their masterpiece at the globally recognised Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace from 5-7 September. There, the winning restoration will compete alongside Concours of Elegance entries for the overall Restoration Showcase ‘Restorer of the Year’ award, representing the pinnacle of automotive restoration excellence.

Andrew Evans, London Concours Director, said:

The Restoration Showcase joins an already impressive lineup of specially curated displays announced for the 2025 edition of the London Concours.
