Racing Green Car Storage to Debut Customer’s Porsche Madster ‘Backdate’ at London Concours 2025

London Concours 2025 will witness the UK debut of a 964-based Porsche 911 ‘Backdate’ as Racing Green Car Storage raids its private vault to showcase some of its customers’ most precious creations at the show.

Racing Green Car Storage is the world’s first carbon-balanced carer of specialist cars, and has established itself as one of the UK’s premier automotive storage facilities, offering a dehumidified environment and comprehensive care services for high-value collector vehicles. Based in state-of-the-art, solar-powered facilities, the company specialses in long-term storage solutions for discerning collectors who demand the highest standards of vehicle preservation and security.

Racing Green’s expertise extends beyond simple storage, offering comprehensive vehicle management services including ongoing management of collections, detailing, and transportation logistics.

The Madster

Racing Green Car Storage will not only be showcasing its expertise and offerings, but also a taste of the unique cars that it is entrusted with. Chief among them is the Madster, a 964-based Porsche 911 ‘Backdate’ that represents the cutting edge of European restomod craftsmanship. This marks the first time a Madster has been publicly displayed in the United Kingdom.

Created by Speed Service, a Dutch company founded by Olav Gelissen, the Madster represents the ultimate expression of Porsche 911 ‘backdating’ – the art of taking a modern 911 platform and recreating the aesthetic and driving experience of earlier, more sought-after variants.

Each Madster is entirely bespoke, crafted to the exact specifications and desires of its commissioner. The process involves extensive modification of the 964’s structure, incorporating design elements from earlier 911 generations while maintaining modern performance and reliability standards.

Olav Gelissen brings exceptional credentials to the project, having begun his career in the original Porsche 911 Supercup series, the one-make racing championship that has long served as a proving ground for Porsche’s most advanced technologies

London Concours 2025 takes place from June 3-5 at the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London.
