London Concours Crowns Breathtaking Bugatti EB110 SS as Best in Show for 2025

The London Concours – the capital’s ultimate summer automotive garden party – has crowned its Best in Show winner for 2025 in front of record crowds after three days of automotive drama at the Honourable Artillery Company. An early example of the exceptionally rare Bugatti EB110 SS was awarded this year’s coveted main prize, coming out on top in a field of over 80 exquisite motor cars – from jaw-dropping hypercars to the most coveted blue-chip classics. Set in a five-acre oasis of green a stone’s throw from Old Street, the event’s ninth edition has played host to the most incredible collection of vehicles ever gathered in the City.

The Bugatti EB110 stay’s true to Bugatti’s reputation of building cars of the utmost performance and luxury. The EB110 was spawned thanks to Bugatti’s saviour, Romano Artioli, arriving 100 years after Ettore Bugatti’s birth. Designed in part by the legendary Marcello Gandini, it was futuristically styled and technologically advanced, featuring a 3.5-litre quad-turbo V12. Driving all-four wheels, it packed 553bhp in standard form, while SS (or Super Supersport) examples, like the best in show winner, had 603bhp, enough to hit 60mph from rest in 3.14 seconds, and go on to 220+mph – still numbers that would place it at the top of the hypercar tree over 30 years on.

The victorious EB110 was one of just 31 ‘SS’ models and wears the VIN 0001. It was originally built for the Royal Family of Brunei and resided in their collection for some years before later passing into the hands of its current owner in 2007. He has since enjoyed the machine as Bugatti intended, covering thousands of miles across the UK and Europe. It is an exceptional example of a landmark hypercar, one that wowed judges and guests alike at the HAC.

Elsewhere the Chairman of the Judges, Peter Read, handed the Chairman’s Award to a glorious example of the Maserati 3500 GT. Touring’s Superleggera construction encased a Maserati 350S race car derived straight-six; it was an elegant grand tourer with a competition heart. The 1961 car on display, finished in ‘Blu Sera’, was first sold to Milan, before heading to California where it stayed for 50 years. It’s since returned to the UK, where it has been fully restored and used enthusiastically, including on road trips throughout Europe and around Scotland’s NC500.

Other classes with awards included the Dream Cars, Fast Fords, a celebration of modern classic ‘Youngtimers’, a class of V8 Ferraris through the ages, as well as the Wildcards.

Beyond the cars, guests have been able to enjoy gourmet food and the finest champagne from Veuve Cliquot, as well as a range of boutiques from leading luxury brands.

Andrew Evans, London Concours director, said: “The London Concours is now firmly established as the capital’s summer automotive garden party, an exclusive event that’s a fixture of the London social calendar. This year’s show welcomed record crowds to the Honourable Artillery Company over the three days, with guests enjoying our most staggering lineup of cars yet. It really was the most exceptional array of automotive exotica ever assembled in the City. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our immensely supportive partners and the car owners themselves, without them this event would simply not be possible. We look forward to welcoming guests back to the Honourable Artillery Company in 2026!”
